An expunction is the legal process for removing and destroying records of an arrest and the resulting case. It is governed by Chapter 55 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. Eligibility is not automatic — it is strictly defined by the circumstances of the arrest and the case.

The agencies below are the ones typically involved in a Caldwell County expunction. Any other agency that holds or has published information about the arrest or charge in your petition should also be included.
