What the county publishes

  • Budgets — the adopted budget for each fiscal year, and the proposed budget as filed.
  • Annual financial reports — audited annual financial statements, published each fiscal year.
  • Tax rates — the annual "Notice About Tax Rates" required by the Texas Tax Code.
  • Investment reports — periodic reports under the county's investment policy.
  • Debt — the debt service schedule, bond and credit rating letters, and the county's TCDRS pension plan. The Annual Local Debt Report is available on request from the County Auditor.
  • Financial policies — the Statement of Financial Goals and Policies and its amendments, the Purchasing Policy and Procedures Manual, the Cash Handling Policy, and the Investment Policy.

Who to ask

The County Auditor handles financial oversight, accounts payable, and reimbursement, and can provide the Annual Local Debt Report. The County Treasurer manages county funds and investments. Vendor and procurement questions go to Purchasing.
