Evacuation Routes

Provides law enforcement patrol coverage throughout Caldwell County's four precincts. Deputies respond to calls for service, conduct traffic enforcement, and perform proactive crime prevention activities.

Operates the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office & Correctional Facility at 1204 Reed Drive. Responsible for the safe, secure, and humane custody of all inmates. Manages booking, classification, programming, and transport.

Detectives investigate serious crimes including homicides, sexual assaults, property crimes, narcotics, and financial crimes. Works in collaboration with state and federal agencies.

Serves civil process documents including subpoenas, writs of execution, tax sale notices, and eviction orders. Conducts Sheriff's tax sales as ordered by the courts.

Dedicated deputies assigned to Caldwell County schools to promote safety, build positive relationships with students, and respond to school-related incidents.

Supports County Emergency Management with search and rescue operations, flood response, and major incident coordination. Works alongside fire departments and EMS.

Registered sex offenders in Caldwell County must report to the Sheriff's Office per Chapter 62 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward all forms of sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and retaliation against anyone who reports it. The Sheriff's Office complies with Federal PREA standards and publishes annual audit reports, incident totals, and policy documentation as required by 28 C.F.R. Part 115.
