Responsible for receiving, safeguarding, and investing all Caldwell County funds.

About the County Treasurer

The County Treasurer is the chief custodian of all Caldwell County funds. The office is responsible for the safekeeping, management, investment, and reporting of taxpayer dollars in accordance with the Texas Public Funds Investment Act.

Treasurer Responsibilities

  • Receives, safeguards, and deposits all county funds in approved depositories
  • Maintains county bank accounts and performs monthly and annual bank reconciliations
  • Serves as County Investment Officer; invests idle funds in approved instruments
  • Prepares quarterly investment reports for Commissioners Court
  • Processes monthly and quarterly jury reimbursements
  • Submits six required quarterly reports to the Texas State Comptroller
  • Maintains long-term debt service reports and oversees bond payments
  • Manages and publishes the Caldwell County Utility Consumption Report
